1 cup bread cubes
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
1½ teaspoons salt
1½ pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup chopped onion
Sauce:
3 tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup water
½ cup ketchup
Directions:
Directions:
Pour milk over bread cubes and set aside until cubes have absorbed milk. Add ground beef to this mixture along with beaten egg, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Mix well and form into loaf. Combine sauce ingredients and pour over meatloaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 ½ hours.

Our family suffered through a multitude of dry, tasteless meatloaves until Mom finally came across this recipe in a local church cookbook. This has become a family favorite and is submitted in loving memory of Laura Stone.
