3 tablespoons bacon grease
1 small head cabbage, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
½ of a red pepper, chopped
1 pound Polish sausage or smoked sausage, sliced
1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Put bacon grease in a large skillet, add red pepper and cook on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes stirring to keep from sticking. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 20 - 25 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
