Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 London Broil, approximately 1/2 lb. per adult serving. This cut is sometimes called Top Round

Marinade:
2 to 3 cloves of garlic smashed
1 tsp. honey
2 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
1/4 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ground ginger powder

Sauce:
1 cup soy sauce
2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
1 close garlic minced
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. honey

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy duty sealable plastic bag, combine the London Broil and marinade ingredients. Seal the bag after pressing out the extra air and put into a shallow baking dish. Marinate the steak in the refrigerator, turning occasionally, at least 4 hours or overnight. Bring steak to room temperature before grilling. Remove the steak from the marinade letting excess liquid drip off. Discard the marinade. Pat steak dry with paper towels. Season liberally with salt and pepper. Grill steak on oiled rack 7-9 minutes on each side for medium rare. While the steak is grilling, heat all sauce ingredients on medium until it is almost a boil, then simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. When the steak is finished, transfer it to a cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes. Cut steak across grain into thin slices, and serve with the sauce on the side.

Personal Notes:
Letting the steak rest is really important so the meat stays flavorful. We often served this with white rice for special family dinners.
