1 cake yeast softened in 1 cup lukewarm milk.
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teas. salt
2 beaten eggs
1/4 cup melted shortening
1 l/2 cup flour
3 Tbls. melted butter
1 Tbls. cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins

Caramel syrup:

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup water.

Directions:
Soften 1 cake yeast in 1 cup lukewarm milk.
Add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup flour.
When bubbly , add 1 teas. salt, 2 beaten eggs, 1/4 cup melted shortening.,
l l/2 cup flour. Knead. Let rise until double in bulk. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness.
Spread with 3 Tbls. melted butter, sprinkle with 1 Tbls. cinnamon, 1/2 cup raisins.
Roll like jelly roll,cut in 1 1/2 inch slices. Place in greased pan. Let rise until
double in bulk. Just before baking, pour over caramel syrup.

Caramel Sauce: Bring to boiling. 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 Tbsp. butter & 1/4 cup water.
Bake in moderate oven (350) 35 min. Makes 18 rolls.
