1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. yellow raisins

Directions:
Directions:
For the dough, mix the first 5 ingredients, add 3 1/2 c. flour, salt and baking powder and mix well. For the filling, mix the remaining 4 ingredients. Make the dough and roll out thin. Cut with a glass top. fill the bottom circle with 1/2 c. filling and put on the top circle. Push together with fingers and bake at 350º for 12 minutes.
