2/3 c. shortening
1 box of devils food cake mix

Directions:
Beat eggs and shortening in mixer. Add cake mix and blend well. Bake at 350º for exactly 10 minutes. Take out and cool on wire rack.

This was the first recipe I baked. Laura's mom (my best friend when we lived in Gaithersburg) gave this recipe to me and told me how easy it was to make. She was right! I have been baking these since I was about 11. -Christy
