2 lbs stew beef
1 large onion
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 c. water
1 can beef broth - 284 ml
1 can tomato sauce
2 c. sliced carrots
1 c. frozen peas

Directions:
Directions:
Trim beef and place in heavy casserole or ovenproof pot. Add onions, flour, salt, pepper, beef broth and tomato sauce. Bake for 1½ hours then add carrots and peas. Cook until carrots are cooked, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed. Thicken with flour if needed.
**I cook potatoes separately and mash them.
