1 German chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/3 cup evaporated milk
14 oz package caramels unwrapped
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix the cake mix, butter, nuts and milk. Press a small half of the mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Melt the caramels and milk together and pour over the crust. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until caramel is firm. Put remaining cake batter on top and bake for 28 minutes longer.
