1/2 cup butter, softened
1-2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cups self-rising flour
1 pkg semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Beat butter until creamy
Gradually add sugar, beat well
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well
Add flour; beat at low speed until blended
Stir in chocolate chips
Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart onto parchment lined baking sheets
Bake 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes or until lightly browned
Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes then transfer to wire racks
