2 cups warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 pkg (2 1/4 tsp) yeast
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup mashed potatoes
6 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Activate yeast in warm milk and water Add sugar, shortening and potatoes and stir. Add rest of ingredients and knead adding flour as kneaded. Dough should be slightly sticky. Put in a large bowl, cover and refrigerate over night. Roll out 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface and cut into strips. Fry in oil. Dough may be stored for 4-5 days.
