1 pkg. yeast
1 c. seedless raisins
1/4 c. butter, soft
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk, scalded
3 3/4 c. flour
1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Put yeast in warm water, set aside. Combine raisins, butter, sugar, salt, and hot milk. Stir and cool to room temperature. Stir in 1 1/2 c. flour and beat well. Add yeast and eggs, mix well. Add flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth. Let double, punch down. Divide in half. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Shape into loaves and put in greased bread pans. Let rise until double. Bake at 375º for 25 minutes. Cover if the bread gets too brown. Remove from the oven and add the glaze on top. Cool.
