1 lb. ground beef
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
6 cups water
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon basil
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 Tablespoon beef boullion
1/2 head cabbage, sliced
2 zucchini, cut into chunks
cooked noodles, rice or barley

Directions:
Directions:
In Dutch oven, brown ground beef and onions. After it is browned add the carrots, celery, water, tomatoes, tomato sauce, the bouillion and the seasonings. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add cabbage and zucchini. Cover and simmer for an additional 15 minutes. Serve over cooked noodles, rice or barley

This recipe was very different when I first made it. I added a lot of the ingredients but kept the name. It's not very western anymore but it tastes really good.
