2 cups butter
1 cups granulated sugar
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all purpose flour
5 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 12 ounce bags semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 8 ounce Hershey bar, grated
3 cups chopped nuts, any variety

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
In small bowl, combine flour, oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir flour mixture into egg mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar and nuts if desired.
Make golf ball sized cookies using a tablespoon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for six to ten minutes.
