Filling:
2 ½ cups raisins (any type)
½ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup water
3 tablespoons lemon juice

Crumb Mixture:
¾ cup butter or shortening (or some of each)
1 cup brown sugar
1 ¾ cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ cup rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cook filling slowly.
Spread ½ of crumbs in a 13 X 9 inch pan and pat them down so they stick together to form a base.
Spread raisin mixture over top of the crumbs. Sprinkle the rest of the crumbs over the filling to cover.
Bake at 400 º F for 20 minutes.
