11/2 c all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup butter, softened
3/4 c packed brown sugar
11/2 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
1/3 c Tennessee whiskey
1 c chopped pecans
1/2 c dried cranberries, candied ginger, golden raisins, or any combination
1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips

Frosting:
3-1/2 c. powdered sugar
6 tbsp. butter, softened
3 tbsp Tennessee whiskey
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. With an electric mixer cream together the 2/3 c butter, the brown sugar and 1-1/2 tsp vanilla until fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Alternately add the flour mixture and the 1/3 cup whiskey, mixing until combined. Fold in the chopped nuts, the dried fruit and chocolate chips. Spread the batter in the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool in the pan on a wire rack. For the frosting in a large bowl beat together the powered sugar, the 6 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons whiskey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth. Add more whiskey in needed to make frosting spreadable. Spread over bars and cut into squares.
