Layer 1
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter melted
2 tablespoons dark Karo (corn syrup)

Layer 2
French Bread (long thin type) cut into 3/4 inch slices

Layer 3
5 eggs
1-1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix Layer 1 in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Spread evenly in bottom.

Place Layer 2 on top of sugar mixture.

Mix Layer 3 in a bowl-whisk.

Pour eggs over Layers 1 and 2. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

(Powdered sugar can be spread over if desired.)

Serve warm.
