2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk
3½ - 4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder, added to flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Alternate dry ingredients and milk. Chill (overnight is best). Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes, until set and golden around the edges.
