1 bar soap (Fels Naptha, Dial or your choice)
1 cup washing (not baking) soda
1 cup borax
optional - essential oil

Directions:
Directions:
Grate soap. Fill a large pot half full of water. Bring to a boil and slowly stir in grated soap. Once soap is melted reduce heat and slowly add washing soda while stirring with a wooden spoon (it will try to bubble over). Add in borax while stirring. Once all blended and melted, remove from heat. Fill a 5 gallon bucket halfway with hot water. Add soap mixture from pot to the bucket. If using essential oil (35-40 drops - tea tree oil works well) add it now and mix well. Finish filling bucket with water. Put lid on and let it cool overnight. Stir well and add to a container for use.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Use 1 cup per laundry load. You will need to shake or stir to keep smooth but some solid pieces in wash not a problem.
