5 pounds lean pork ribs cut into 2 x 1/2 inch strips
4 tablespoons shortening
1 chicken bouillon cube (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
8 tablespoons corn starch
1 cup vinegar
3 tablespoons Soya sauce
2 squirts ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
1. brown ribs slowly in hot shortening. Put browned ribs into roaster. Add 1 cup water, bouillon cube,salt. Mix well, cover and bake in over while sauce is prepared..
2. Combine brown sugar and cornstarch; add vinegar, Soya sauce and ketchup . Stir over medium-high heat until sauce is thick and bubbly.
3. Add sauce to ribs. Mix well. Bake until ribs are fully cooked, shake roaster occasionally.
