8 inch pie:
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
dash salt
5 cups thinly sliced tart apples
1 tablespoon margarine

9 inch pie:
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
dash salt
6 cups thinly sliced tart apples
2 tablespoons margarine

10 inch pie:
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
dash salt
8 cups thinly sliced tart applied
3 tablespoons margarine

Directions:
Directions:
1. heat oven to 425 F
2. mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Once mixed, add apples. toss gently to coat apples.
3. turn into a pastry lined pie plate. Dot apples with margarine.
4. moisten edge of pie crust. Cover with top crust. Flute pastry edges to seal edge of crust together. Cut away excess pastry. Cut slits into the top crust.
5. bake at 425 F for 15 minutes; then reduce heat to 350 and continue baking until apples are cooked (may take an hour)
