1lb mixed fruit ( dried)
5 oz margarine
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate soda
2 eggs
1 teacup water
1 teacup of granulated sugar
2 teacups of self raising flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put fruit,water,sugar and margarine into a pan, heat until fat melts, add bicarb and simmer for twenty minutes, leave overnight. Add beaten eggs and flour and place in a 7" tin and bake for 2 hours at 300-341F / gas mark 6.
