1/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup water
2 cups flour
1 tsp. ginger
1/2tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine,sugar,egg molasses and water. Blend in remaining ingredients and chill for 1 hour.
Heat oven to 400. drop dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes.
Frosting: 1/4 cup margarine, 2 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and enough milk or water to spread.
