1 pkg. 4 oz. Baker's German sweet chocolate
5 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. 3 oz. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup, 1 tbsp. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and 3 tbsp. butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
Cool mixture.
Cream remaining butter with the cream cheese until softened.
Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar creaming until light and fluffy.
Stir in 1 egg, 1 tbsp. flour and 1/2 tsp. vanilla until blended, set aside.
Beat remaining eggs until fluffy and light in color.
Gradually add remaining 3/4 cup sugar beating until thickened.
Fold in baking powder, salt and remaining flour.
Blend in cool chocolate mixture.
Stir in nuts, almond extract and remaining tsp. vanilla.
Measure 1 cup chocolate batter and set aside.
Spread remaining chocolate.
