1 (19 oz) can of garbanzo beans, drained
1 small onion
3 cloves of garlic
3 tablespoons of chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon of dried parsley
2 teaspoons of ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
1/2 teaspon baking powder
1 cup of fine dry bread crumbs or blended quick oats
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of cracked black peppercorn
1 can of olive oil spray

1. Preheat the oven to 375.

2. Mash the garbanzo beans in a large bowl. Stir in the onion, garlic, cilantro, parsley, cumin, turmeric, baking powder, breadcrumbs or oats, salt, and pepper.

3. Use your hands and shape them into patties about half an inch thick and 2 inches wide. If the mixture doesn't hold together, add a little water.

4. Spray the cookie sheet with olive oil, then place the falafel patties on the sheet. Then spray again with olive oil.

5. May take 15 minutes depending on your oven. Bake until a golden crispy brown.
