6 strips bacon, diced
⅓ c sugar
1 c onion, diced
¼ c chicken broth
1 c Granny Smith apple, diced
8 c red cabbage, shredded
1 T flour
⅔ c apple cider vinegar
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon in a large saute’ pan. Pour off all but ¼ cup of drippings. Add onion and apple to bacon and drippings. Cook over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes. Whisk in flour; cook 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in vinegar, sugar, broth, salt, and pepper. Add cabbage and toss. Cook until soft.
