¼ c shortening
1 t baking soda
1⅓ c sugar
¾ t salt
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
1 t vanilla
1 c chopped pecans
2 c flour
1 c chopped very ripe bananas
1 t baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, blend thoroughly.

Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredient. Add bananas and pecans, mixing until just blended.

Spoon batter into a greased bread pan. Bake at 350˚ for 45 – 60 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool.
