1 lb. softened butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 t almond flavoring (vanilla is good too)
4 c flour.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add egg yolks and flavoring, mixing well. Stir in the flour a cup full at a time. The dough will get stiff. Chill for an hour. Roll dough into 1" balls & flatten with a fork. Add sprinkles or sugars, if desired. Bake at 325º for 12-15 minutes. (They are 'fragile', so let them set up a bit on the cookie sheet before taking them off.)
