• 2 cups flour
• Ŋ tsp. baking soda
• ŧ tsp. salt
• 1/3 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• Grated rind of 1 orange
• ž cup strained orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Cream sugar, with shortening until fluffy. Beat eggs until thick, add to creamed mixture with orange rind and beat thoroughly.

Add sifted dry ingredients and orange juice alternating in small amounts beating after each addition. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 ēC for 1 hour.
