2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco

2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Mix together first 3 ingredients. Take out 1 cup for topping.
To the remaining crumbs add the eggs, baking powder and milk.
Put fruit into unbaked pie shells. Top with batter mixture. Sprinkle topping over batter mixture. Bake at 350 º about 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
Makes about 3 pies.
Raisins or other fruit may be used instead of huckleberries.

This is my favorite pie, made with about any fruit.
This cake makes a good shortcake, also.
For 1 pie:
2/3 c. flour, 1/2 c. sugar, scant 1/4 c. Crisco, 1 egg, 2/3 tsp. baking powder
scant 1/4 c. milk.
