2 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
2 eggs
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
4 c. chopped apples (very fine)
2 tsp. vanilla
Topping:
8 T. brown sugar
2 T. soft butter
4 T. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Mix as any other cake. Add apples last. Moisture comes from apples. Put into 9 x 13 baking dish.Topping to be added before baking.
Topping:
Mix first 3 ingredients. Put on cake batter. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
