1 1/2 C Grape Nuts
5 eggs
1 C brown sugar
1 C white sugar
1/4 t salt
1 1/2 pints whipping cream
1 t maple flavoring
3 T vanilla
Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the eggs until thick. Add sugars and salt; follow with whipping cream. Add maple and vanilla flavorings and pour into freezer can, adding enough milk to bring mixture to the fill-line on your freezer can. Cover the Grape Nuts with milk and set aside to soften. Churn mixture in freezer for 15 minutes, then add Grape Nuts and finish freezing as usual. This recipe is for a 4 qt. ice cream freezer.

This ice cream is really different, sort of old fashioned and really yummy!The recipe came from a friend who says this was her grandfather's all time favorite ice cream.
