1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add milk and stir only until mixed.

Drop by spoonfuls onto top of boiling chicken or beef stock. Leave room between dumplings so they cook through.

Cook 10 minutes with kettle uncovered. Cover tightly and cook 10 minutes longer.

You can add 2 T. minced parsley or chives to batter with 1/4 tsp. of celery salt to make Herb Dumplings.
