"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

2-8 oz. packages cream cheese, softened
1 ½ c. sugar, divided
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ c. butter, melted
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread 1 roll crescent dough into bottom of 9x13 pan. Use fingers to press creases together.

Mix cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla with mixer until smooth. Spread evenly over crescent dough. Top with second roll of dough. Gently smooth creases together.

In a bowl, stir together melted butter, ½ cup sugar and cinnamon; it will be fairly thick. Spread sugar mixture around top of pan. The back of a spoon works well.

Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until center is semi-firm. It will set more as it chills. Chill and cut into squares.
