10 slices bacon
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet fry the bacon until crisp, reserving the drippings. Remove the slices and crumble into small bits. Meanwhile, add the vinegar to the bacon drippings in the skillet and bring to a boil. Make a paste with the flour and water, stir until smooth, and add to the boiling vinegar. Add the sugar, salt and remaining water, along with the bacon bits. Continue to boil for approximately 5 minutes. Serve the hot dressing over hot potatoes and chopped onions to produce a German-type potato salad, or serve warm dressing over tossed salad or spinach leaves with grapefruit or orange sections and rings of sweet red onion.
