1 cup soft shortening
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour milk
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups broken pecans
2 cups Halwed candied cherries
2 cups dates, cut up

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well shortening, brown sugar and eggs.
Add sour milk.
Sift flour, soda and salt and stir in.
Mix in pecans, cherries, dates and chill.
Heat oven to 400º.
Drop with tsp. 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.

Bake 8 - 10 min.
