Cake:
2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
4 tbsp baking chocolate
pinch of salt
1 c sugar
1 c cold water
1 c Miracle Whip dressing
1 tsp vanilla

Frosting:
1 c sugar
1/2 c water
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
3 egg whites

Chocolate Drip:
1 tbsp butter
1/8 c milk
1/4 c sugar
1/8 c karo syrup
2 tbsp unsweetened baking chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the cake dry ingredients in a bowl. Add water, miracle whip and vanilla and mix well. Pour into (2) 8" round cake pans that are greased, floured and have waxed paper in the bottom. Bake 25 minutes at 350º.

Frosting: Bring sugar, water and cream of tartar to hard boil - 260º. Beat egg whites to peaks. Drizzle in sugar mixture while beating. Continue beating until the frosting is shiny and forms firm peaks. Frost cake.

Chocolate drip: Combine all in sauce pan that the syrup was boiled in. Heat over low heat stirring constantly till 220º. Remove from heat and stir rapidly till mixture thickens with a spoon. Drizzle around top edge of cake, encouraging some to run or drip down the sides. Any left over frosting can be poured in the middle of the cake and swirled.
