1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cups lightly packed brown sugar
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp cinnamon
6 peeled apples

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease a 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
Cream together the the butter and brown sugar. Stir in the flour and cinnamon and mix until crumbly.
Arrange the sliced apples in the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle with the crumbs. Bake for 40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.

For Crunchy apple crisp, make as above, but substitute the flour with 1/3 cup flour and 2/3 cup rolled oats.

For Rhubarb Crisp: substitute a mixture of 3 cups diced fresh or frozen rhubarb and 1/3 cup sugar for the apples.

For Cherry Crisp: Substitute a mixture of 3 cups pitted fresh sour cherries and 1.3 cup corn syrup for the apples
