2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon (or more to taste)
1/2 cup raisins (or other dried fruit)
1/2 cup butter, melted (cool slightly)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add raisins (or other dried fruit). Combine butter, sour cream and egg. Add to flour mixture and form dough. Flatten to 8 or 9-inch disk and cut into wedges. Separate and place on parchment lined baking sheet (or in scone pan) and brush tops with cream and sprinkle with a little sugar, if desired. Bake at 400 degrees until golden (about 15 minutes).

For variations, add:
Cappuccino: 1 teaspoon espresso powder.
Cherry Almond: dried cherries and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
Blueberry Lemon: dried blueberries and lemon zest.
Cranberry Orange: dried cranberries and orange zest.
