2 c. fresh fiddleheads
1/2 c. butter
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 tsp lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and trim fiddleheads to remove all brown bits. You will have to uncurl them and hold under cold running water. Steam for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter in saucepan and saute garlic. Add steamed fiddleheads and saute for 1 minute. Pour 1 tsp lemon juice over fiddleheads and stir gently, cooking for 2 more minutes. Do not overcook. Serve hot. Yummy side dish for any entree.

Fiddleheads are only available in May. Usually come from the Maritimes but are available in Port Coquitlum, BC. Taste like mild asparagus. Very Yummy!
