4 pounds small pickling cucumbers
4 cups sugar
3-3/4 cups distilled vinegar (white)
3 T canning salt
4 T celery seed
4 T turmeric
1-1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
slice ends from cucumbers, then cut into spears. Pour boiling water over cucumbers. Let stand 2 hours, drain and pack in 1/2 pint jars. Heat remaining ingredients to a boil. Pour boiling liquid over cucumbers in jars. Remove air bubbles with a butter knife down insides of jar. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
