4 C water
5 chicken bouillon cubes or 5 tsp Better Than Bouillon chicken base
6 oz (about 1 3/4 C) frozen chopped spinach, partially thawed
2 heaping C small shredded, preferably fresh stewed chicken
1 large egg, whisked until frothy
Pinch fresh-ground black pepper or to taste
1 1/3 C tubitini or ditalini pasta

In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in bouillon cubes or chicken base and stir until dissolved. Reduce heat to medium and add spinach. Stir until spinach is completely defrosted. Stir in chicken; return return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered 5 minutes.

With soup still at a simmer, slowly add beaten egg, folding it through soup. Add pepper.

To serve, place 1/3 C pasta in the bottom of 4 heated serving bowls. Divide soup among them
