1 5-6 lbs roasting chicken
2 Tbsp butter, melted
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chicken stock
1/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp ginger
dash tabasco sauce
2 Tbsp cornstarch

Directions:

Preheat ovent to 375º F. Wash chicken and pat dry. Combine melted butter and lemon juice; brush on to chicken. Sprinkle on thyme, paprika and salt. Place in shallow roasting pan and roast for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (less if smaller chicken). Remove to platter and keep warm.

Add the chicken stock, ketchup, worcestershire sauce and tabasco sauce to pan drippings, boil 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch with a little cold water. Take pan off heat and add to sauce. Put pan back on the heat and stir until thick and smooth. Cut up chicken and serve with sauce.
