Ingredients:

1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup margarine melted
3 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecans
1 9" pastry shell (regular)

Directions:
Directions:
Oven 350º.
Combine sugar, syrup and melted margarine.
Add beaten eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Add pecans to mixture.
Bake 1 hr. or until set.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I use 1 tbsp. less margarine per pie.
1 make 2 pies at a time.
While pouring into pie shells, I stir mixture so the two pies have pretty much the same amount of pecans and filling.
Cover edge of pies with foil after baking for 35 minutes.
The middle of pies will be jiggly.
I also cover the entire pie with foil to keep pie from getting too brown before the pie sets.
Pies puff and break slightly when done.
Recipe says to bake 1 hour, but I find I have to cook longer.
