I remember Mom(Katherine Grimes telling me that Grandad Keeler had a good wheat crop in 36 or 37. I think A Jean said in '37 Grandad went out and bought Grandma a washing machine with a wringer. I think it had a gasoline engine because no electricity in Jewell County until maybe late 40's but probably early 50's. Can you imagine doing laundry for 8 by wash board? or what? That had to be wonderful day for Grandma.
