10 Cups of Flour
1 cup of Sugar
3 eggs
2 rising yeast envelopes
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp anise seeds
1 1/2 milk
1 tsp cinnamon powder
2 sticks of butter
1 tsp salt
3 tbs margarine

Filling:

4 cups of Pecorino Romano grated cheese
4 cups of sugar
1 tsp of cinnamon,
2 tsps of vanilla
2 TBSP margarine

Filling:
Mix 4 cups of pecorino romano grated cheese with 4 cups of sugar 1 tsp of cinnamon, 2 tsps of vanilla and 2 TBSP margarine,
Grease the cookie sheet with oil or pam . Set aside.


Bread:
Mix 1/4 cup of warm water with the 2 envelopes of yeast by hand, until no more lumps, add in flour, eggs, butter, sugar, salt, cinnamon, milk anise seed, and vanilla. Mix by hand.

Dough will be sticky. add milk as needed,

Put about 1/4 cup of corn oil on a clean dry surface to kneed the dough. Kneed dough for approximately 10-15 min with oiled palms, holding batch with one hand and pulling away from you.

Separate dough in to 4 long, skinny loaves. Cut pieces in about 1 inch lengths. flatten each piece by hand in a circle and put about 1 tsp of filling in each circle. Then fold 3 sides in to make a flat triangle.


Bake at 350 until golden

Got this recipe from a friend, and this is one of the things her en-listed Marine son asks for whether he is away at base or at home. When she sends them to the base she is sure to send enough for his entire platoon!
