1 Tbsp oil or butter
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can tomato soup
1 cup water

Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
2 slices bread, torn into pieces (or 1 cup bread crumbs)
1/4 cup evaporated milk (or just milk)
1 tsp salt

Directions:

Sautée pepper and onion in oil or butter, until soft. Sir in both soups and water. Heat to boiling, turn down and simmer.

While that simmers, make meatballs by combining the remaining ingredients and mix well. Form ping pong size meatballs. Drop balls into simmering sauce and cook slowly, about 1 hour or until sauce has thickened.

Easy oven method: Put meatballs into casserole. Combine sautéed onion and pepper, soups and water and pour over meatballs. Cover and bake at 350º F for 1 hour.
