Ingredients:
Bread Dough
1 cup water
1 package yeast
6 cups flour
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. Crisco shortening

Filling
6 sausage links (hot or sweet), casings removed
5 medium potatoes, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt & Pepper
Red pepper flakes
Olive oil
Parmesan cheese
Mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and add sugar, salt, shortening and water. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water and add to milk mixture. Add flour gradually to make a stiff dough. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place dough in greased bowl, cover and let rise to double in size. Punch down dough.
Boil sausage about 10 minutes, cool, remove casing, dice and set aside.
Mince garlic, dice potatoes, peppers, onions and put in a microwave bowl then add salt & pepper, red pepper flakes and a little olive oil. Microwave on high for about 15 minutes to partially cook vegetables before baking. Add diced sausage to vegetables and mix well.
Roll out dough and place 1/2 of the bread dough in the bottom of a greased 10 x15 cookie sheet or flat pan.
Cover the dough with the sausage and vegetable filling, top with grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese.
Place other 1/2 rolled out layer of dough over top of filling and cheese, then pinch dough to seal edges. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for about 45 minutes or until brown.
note: substitute broccoli for sausage and make it a vegetarian bread.
