2 sticks butter, softened
2 sticks margarine, softened
2 C sugar
1 box brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. brandy (optional)
4 C old fashioned oat
4 C flour
4 C coarsely crushed corn flakes
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3 oz. chopped dates
3 oz. raisins
3 oz. craisins
3. oz. nuts of choice
1 - 12 oz. package chocolate chips
1 - 12 oz. package white chips

Mix together the butter, margarine and sugars. Add eggs vanilla and brandy. Mix together dry ingredients and add to batter. Combine rest of ingredients. Refrigerate dough. Make handball sized balls. Bake at 350º for approximately 12 minutes till golden but don't look quite done.

We usually smoosh ingredients together with our hands. Amounts of nuts and fruits can vary according to personal taste. Other cereals may be substituted for corn flakes.
