Cake:
1 C oil
1-1/2 C sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
1 C buttermilk
2 C flour
1 C mashed prunes
1 C chopped nuts
Glaze:
1 C sugar
1/2 C buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp white Karo syrup
1 stick margarine or butter

Directions:
Directions:
For cake mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into 13 x 9" cake pan. Bake at 350º for 45 min.
While cake is baking, mix glaze ingredients in large pot. Cook until margarine melts and mixture boils and changes color to a darkish brown or forms a very soft ball. When cake comes out of the oven, poke it all over with a fork and pour glaze over cake while everything is still warm.
