1/2 C sugar
1 1/2 T corn starch
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 C boiling water
2 T butter
2 tsp grated lemon rind
2 T lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, starch & salt in pan, gradually add water. Cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. Boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat & add lemon juice, butter & lemon rind. Makes 1 1/2 C. Can omit lemon & add vanilla to make a different sauce.
